Skin Like Mine  

A programme delivered by and for Black Londoners, Skin Like Mine combined traditional outreach with novel ways to engage and inspire. Over four months and 18 events, OVN tested 167 Black Londoners (186 Londoners overall). 1 in 3 (34.4%) people tested were testing for HIV for the first time. The team distributed 400 packs of condoms and lube, and through Skin Like Mine and GlamSquad events, engaged over 1,500 Black Londoners on the ground.

 

The delivery team is delighted to report our results and findings across the programme, and hope that the Skin Like Mine service design and results will encourage more opportunities and dedicated resources for focused public health programming.
